November Member of the Month



Congratulations to Bushra Ahsan, our November MOM! Bushra has quickly become a fun and vibrant addition to our KSCF community, bringing her sharp wit and friendly personality to every class. Her thoughtful questions show her eagerness to learn, and she never hesitates to push her limits in workouts and weightlifting, demonstrating true grit and determination. We're excited to celebrate Bushra this month—catch her most often in our 12 pm classes!



I was not very athletic growing up but always enjoyed playing sports. I found Crossfit through a friend in 2019. I joined right before the open and got roped into doing it. I loved the energy and community even though the movements seemed hard at the time. I also saw immediate benefits in and out of the gym. It even improved my focus at work and I was instantly hooked. When I moved to Cambridge, the first thing I looked for was proximity to crossfit and thankfully found KSCF. I was doing crossfit pretty casually but over the last year I have been trying to get into it seriously and really focus on improving my movements. My favorite WODs are anything to do with the barbell, love cleans and back/front squats. My least favorite is snatches but I am trying to change that. Post workout, I like snacking on low-fat yogurt topped with lots of berries, almonds, crushed flax seeds and a bit of honey. 

 

Outside of Crossfit, I love hanging out with my dog and taking her out for walks and hikes. Other than that I love playing sports, I feel they are a great way to hang out and socialize while being active. During summer, I picked up tennis and really enjoyed it. Winter, I snowboard. I also like curling up with a good book and reading for hours. 

This year, I am working on getting better at movements like pushups and pullups while increasing the weights I do for squats. The coaches have been incredible in understanding my goals and helping me through them. I also love the community and friends I made here. They keep me accountable and make it fun to show up. In the gym, we all fam!
