Juneteenth, 2024 WOD

Juneteenth

Join us for a special Juneteenth tribute WOD as we come together to honor and celebrate this significant day in history. Juneteenth marks the emancipation of the last enslaved African Americans in the United States on June 19, 1865. This workout not only challenges our physical strength and endurance but also serves as a reminder of the resilience, perseverance, and courage of those who fought for freedom and equality. Through this tribute WOD, we reflect on the past, acknowledge the progress made, and commit to continuing the journey toward justice and unity. Let's sweat with purpose and solidarity, remembering that every rep is a step towards honoring the legacy and future of freedom for all.

Support our local Black and marginalized youth by scanning the code and donating to Bikes Not Bombs

Bikes Not Bombs

Following our theme of donating towards causes to help the youth of our community, we have decided to direct our fundraising effects towards Bikes Not Bombs. Bikes not bombs "uses the bicycle as a vehicle for social change to achieve economic mobility for Black and other marginalized people in Boston and the Global South." Some bikes are sent overseas to countries such as Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Other bikes are sent to their Youth Pathways program in which teens learn bike safety and mechanics in the process of earning bikes to keep for themselves.
