🚨 April Member of the Month🚨

Sid Krishnan!

This one is extra special—Sid has been a staple of the KSCF family for nearly six years (!!), and as we celebrate his well-earned MOM recognition, we also gear up to send him off to his next big adventure at Stanford. 🎓🔥

Sid walked through our doors as a dedicated runner looking to add a new challenge to his training. Balancing both running and CrossFit wasn’t easy, but Sid’s attentive learning, relentless work ethic, and love for pushing his boundaries made it happen. His breakthrough moment? The 2022 KSCF FaceOff. Not only did he level up his game—he helped lead Rosie’s Brosies to victory! 🏆

From epic Friday Night Light workouts to KSCF socials and every sweat-drenched, boundary-pushing moment in between, Sid has been the definition of showing up, working hard, and having a damn good time while doing it.

Before he heads west, make sure to give him a high five, a fist bump, or a sweaty post-WOD hug and wish him luck! Sid—you’ll always be part of the KSCF crew. 💪💙

Learn more about some questions we asked Sid about his KSCF experience.

What brings you back to CrossFit day-to-day?

I think the reason I come back to crossfit everyday is pretty simple- it's just something that makes me really happy. Being around fantastic people who push themselves to be better every day is a great way to spend time!

What have you found helps you improve on skill/strength the best?

I think two things have helped me improve strength and skill. The first is being regular and listening to good coaching cues (including asking for feedback). My fellow crossfitters are also often a great source of advice. The second thing is nutrition- I don't think I valued this enough in the past but eating better has been really helpful for me in getting more out of my workouts.

What are you thinking right before the "3-2-1" of the clock before a WOD?

Before the "3-2-1" of a wod, I'm honestly just thinking "please don't be awful". Sometimes it's a little bit of strategy, sometimes I'm wondering if I picked the right weights. But always nervous excitement.

Why does KSCF training methods keep you coming back?

I think the coaches are a major part of why I keep coming back. Each coach has their own style and brings something valuable to their classes. I also love the variety in the programming- on any given week I know I can look forward to a good mix of Oly/powerlifting, gymnastics skills, cardio and accessory work topped off with a soul crushing Saturday.

What is your WHY for continuing to challenge yourself at KSCF?

I love trying to challenge myself because I can see everyone around me doing it- it's so inspiring when you see people around you improve with skills and strength, and digging deep during tough workouts. I can also see my own progress and it's a great motivator to not let up.
